Every summer, Hackmatack Playhouse provides access to theater education through hands-on curriculum in a supportive and unique theater program.
Each camp provides campers with an introduction to the ins and outs of theater. Participants spend their days rehearsing a show and will perform for friends and family at the camp’s conclusion.
During their time at Hackmatack, campers learn the show's music and choreography, memorize lines, help build sets and prepare the theater for the shows. Taught through a curriculum that emphasizes agency, self-expression, and theater education, the young actors will also get to know their fellow campers through fun theater-based activities and perhaps even meet a farm animal (or two!)

Show: The Lightning Thief The Percy Jackson Musical
Ages: Entering 8th Grade to Graduating High School 2025
In-Person Auditions May 17th and 18th 12pm-2pm
Please note: every register individual will be a part of the show.
Production Schedule June 1st to July 5th 2025
June 1st, 8th and 15th: 12p to 6p, June 16-19: 4p to 9p, June 21st: 10a to 4p, June 22nd: 5p to 10p, June 23rd- 26th: 4p to 9p, June 28th: 10a to 6p June 29th- July 3rd: 5p to 10p. Please note that rehearsal schedule is subject to change.
Final Performances: Thursday, July 4th at 7:30pm; Friday, July 5th at 2pm, Friday July 5th at 7:30pm
Tuition: the cost of the teen camp is $400. A $150 deposit is required to hold a camper’s spot. The final amount is not required until prior to auditions on May 16th.
Discounts: Pay in full by February 28th to receive a $50 "Early-Bird" discount.
SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK JR.
Session 1
Dates: July 7th to July 25th
Ages: 7 to 13
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 to 3. Campers will be asked to provide their own packed lunch.
Final Performances: Friday, July 25th at 2pm; Saturday July 26th at 10am
Tuition: The cost of the 3 week camp is $950. A $150 deposit is required to hold a camper’s spot. The final amount is not required until the first day of camp on July 7th.
Discounts: Pay in full by February 28th to receive a $100 "Early-Bird" discount. For each additional sibling you enroll, receive a 15% discount off their tuition (must reside in the same household.)
GUYS AND DOLLS JR.
Session 2
Dates: July 28th to August 15th
Ages: 7 to 13
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 to 3. Campers will be asked to provide their own packed lunch.
Final Performances: Friday, Aug 15th at 2pm; Saturday Aug 16th at 10am

Looking to get the kids outdoors this summer? We are excited to announce a brand new camp centered around the Hackmatack farm and the beautiful and rich diversity of the Hackmatack land.

Flexible Scheduling Options
Need to drop the kids off a bit earlier this year? Running late to pick them up? We are pleased to offer early drop-off and late pick up to help you with all your logistic needs. The additional cost is $50 a week.
Discounts
We offer two discounts for our youth theater camps to help you save money! Pay in full prior to February 28th to receive $100 off of the camp tuition. Also, for each additional child that you enroll in either youth camp, we offer a 15% discount off of their camp tuition.
