HACKMATACK FARM
Hackmatack Playhouse is located on the historic Guptill homestead which has been consistently operating as a farm since the late 1600s. The Guptill family, originally subsistence farmers, have adapted their land throughout the centuries as society and culture changed.
AMERICAN BISON & MANGALITSA PIGS
In 2011, Conor Guptill, an 11th-generation Guptill to farm the land, began Hackmatack Farm, a hyper-local farm that focuses on regenerative and sustainable farming practices. Together with his wife, Shelby, Conor focuses on sustaining heritage breeds that have been overlooked and neglected by mainstream farming practices. The Guptill family is committed to reinvigorating the local Seacoast farming culture and invites you to extend your visit to Hackmatack Playhouse by taking a walk to visit our heritage breeds of American bison and Mangalitsa pigs.
FARM STORE
The Hackmatack Farm Store is open during the summer, Wednesdays through Saturdays 11am-6pm, and Sundays 1 to 4pm. During the winter, you can find our products at local farm markets, or can purchase for pick-up at the farm. In addition to Hackmatack Farm meat products, we sell goods from local Berwick farmers and crafters, including grocery items, pickled products, artisan ice cream, and hand-crafted pottery.
