SUPPORT HACKMATACK
A History of Accessible Theater
For more than 50 years, Hackmatack Playhouse has brought live theater to Maine and the NH Seacoast region. We are so thankful for the friends who have supported our community this past half century, and we are dedicated to a future of bringing accessible entertainment to our community, both through our mainstage theater shows, our children's educational camps, community contra-dances, and our popular Sunday's At The Farm music series.
As we enter our 53nd season we hold to the values that have shaped us for the past 50 years.
A commitment to being a place for everyone, of all ages, to come and experience theater.
Being a space where local, regional and national actors can learn from others, perfect and showcase their talent, and make audiences laugh and cheer.
Having sustainable and regenerative practices in our land, our farm, and our playhouse.
Sharing our beautiful Maine family farm with both locals and visitors.
As we prepare for the next 50 years of live entertainment for the community, we continue to do major updates to our infrastructure, including our seating, flooring, and technology, which has been minimally updated since our opening in 1972.
With your support, we can update our playhouse to increase comfort, accessibility, and temperature control. Donations also help us to secure updated lighting and sound technology and allow us to continue to offer sustainable and low-cost entertainment for the whole family.
Thank you for your kind donation and for the part you play in bringing live theater to our region.
